Furniture repair is the work of taking a furniture part that has sustained some relatively minor damage and bringing it back to a condition where there is no longer any significant diminishment of either utility or beauty.

Examples of repairs to a finish would include the removal of a watermark, filling or re-coloring a scratch or dent, or touching up a worn corner. The catalog of possible structural or mechanical repairs is virtually limitless. Common repairs include re-gluing chairs, rebuilding drawer runners or tracks, gluing loose veneer, rebuilding broken parts, replacing worn rubber webbing, rebuilding loose or broken bed rails, straightening warped or bowed wood, re-gluing the wood frames of upholstered items, rebuilding loose table extension slides, and much more.

Of the many services we offer, repairs are typically the most difficult to estimate without actually having the item in front of us. If you have a repair you would like information about your furniture through photos or videos via whatsapp.

Furniture polish is a substance that you put on the surface of a piece of furniture in order to clean it and make it shine.

  • Polishes made from shellac have been used for a very long time, and are also commonly known as French polish.

  • Lamination polishes, made from polyester and resin.

  • Melamine polishes for a matte finish.

  • PU or Polyutherane polishes, that give a glossier look and are water/solvent-based.

  • Lacquer is a modern wood finish that is commonly used on high end furniture. It is fast drying, impervious to water, and maintains its transparency as it ages. Lacquer finishes are popular because they don't yellow with age, protect well against liquids, and require very little maintenance.

  • Varnish polish, it is a process done to provide a clear transparent layer or film over the surface. Varnish has very little or no color and has no added pigment, unlike paint. Varnish can be seen as the last process carried out after polishing and painting.

  • Chndras or gum copal is popularly used as incense. It is also used as a varnish or waterproofing material. When heated with certain oils it becomes nearly transparent. It can be used as an ingredient in adhesives, perfumes, printing ink, paints, and films.

  • Alsi seeds Oil or Linseed oil, also known as flaxseed oil, is one of the most popular (old method) wood finishes in the world. Like other hand-rubbed oil finishes, linseed oil saturates deep into the wood grain to protect against scratches and changes in humidity. It is easy to care for, eco-friendly, and produces a satin finish that really brings out the color and grain of the wood underneath.
